Dr. Heidi Golding Loveland Acupuncture

Dr. Golding practices a distinctive form of Japanese acupuncture as taught by the renowned Kiiko Matsumoto and Dr. Nagano. She has also studied with Jeffrey Yuen and integrates the exceptional herbal formulations of Heiner Fruehoff, a respected herbal curator and ethical steward of classical Chinese medicine, dedicated to purity, sustainability, and the living spirit of the herbs themselves.

When needed, Dr. Golding incorporates Craniosacral Therapy, as taught by the Upledger Institute, to gently release tension patterns and restore balance in the central nervous system, deepening the healing experience for patients who require a more subtle level of care.

Rooted in the ancient understanding that much of physical pain arises from stored emotions and unresolved trauma, Dr. Golding’s treatments work to unravel both physical discomfort and its emotional origins. Each session is designed to restore harmony between the body’s inner landscape and its connection to the external world, supporting profound healing and renewal.

Dr. Golding is nationally board-certified by the NCCAOM and holds Diplomate status in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM). She earned her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, and holds advanced certification with Dr. Carol McMakin in Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM), a modality that powerfully complements acupuncture and enhances tissue repair and nervous system regulation.

Specialties: Nerve Damage • Scar Tissue • Post-Operative Recovery • Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome / Hypermobility •  Chronic Pain

Golding Integrative Health acupuncture Loveland Kintsugi tea cup

In Japanese art, there is a practice called Kintsugi, the process of repairing broken pottery with gold. Instead of hiding the cracks, they are honored and highlighted. The piece is not considered damaged, but more valuable because of where it has been broken and mended.

Healing can be like that.

So often, we try to cover the places that hurt, push through what feels fragile, or pretend we’re fine when we’re not. But the body keeps score and it also holds incredible wisdom.

Healing is rarely linear~ and even the broken places can lead somewhere meaningful.

Dr. Golding's work is a gentle invitation back to balance, where symptoms aren’t treated as flaws, but as messages… and healing becomes something we support with care, patience, and respect.

Dr. Golding is truly honored to be a part of your healing process.

I have been to Acupuncturists before but never an actual "Dr." of Chinese Medicine. Only now can I appreciate the difference. Dr. Golding is amazing. I admit I don't understand  most of it but her use of traditional Chinese Medicine integrated with western technology... I've never heard of anything like it and it's amazingly effective. Thank you Dr. Golding!

Restoring balance through the wisdom of the Five Elements

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Five Elements,  Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water, offer a way of understanding how the body functions as an interconnected whole. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, this system looks at patterns, relationships, and balance within the body, mind, and spirit.   Each element represents specific organs, emotions, seasons, and qualities of energy. When these elements are in harmony, the body is better able to regulate itself, heal, and maintain vitality. When one or more elements fall out of balance, symptoms may appear,  often as a signal that the body is asking for support.   Acupuncture works by gently restoring balance among these elements, helping the body return to its natural state of equilibrium.

Wood is associated with growth, movement, and flexibility. It relates to the liver and gallbladder and supports healthy circulation of energy throughout the body. When Wood is balanced, we feel motivated and adaptable. When out of balance, it may show up as tension, irritability, headaches, or feeling “stuck.”

Water represents depth, restoration, and reserves. Associated with the kidneys and adrenal system, it supports long-term vitality, stress resilience, and recovery. When Water is balanced, we feel rooted and stable. Imbalance may show up as chronic fatigue, fear, or feeling depleted.

Metal governs boundaries, structure, and breath. It is connected to the lungs and immune system and helps the body let go of what it no longer needs. Balanced Metal supports resilience and clarity, while imbalance may appear as grief, respiratory issues, or difficulty releasing physical or emotional tension.

Earth is the center of nourishment and stability. Associated with digestion and assimilation, it supports energy levels, immune health, and emotional grounding. When Earth is balanced, we feel supported and steady. Imbalance may show up as digestive issues, fatigue, or excessive worry.

Fire represents warmth, vitality, and connection. It is linked to the heart and nervous system and plays a key role in emotional balance and mental clarity. A balanced Fire element supports joy and calm presence, while imbalance may present as anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, or overwhelm.
